Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV — Project Introduction
The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV stands as one of the most ambitious concept vehicles ever created for the Gran Turismo franchise — a full-scale design study of an all-electric endurance racer capable of 255mph, developed by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations team. To capture the story behind this extraordinary project, I directed and produced a short documentary that brought together the voices of the designers, engineers, and technicians who shaped the Vision GT SV.
As Art Director, Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Colourist, and Motion Graphics Designer, I oversaw every creative aspect of the film. From concept to delivery, the project demanded precision and agility. One of the greatest challenges came late in production: Jaguar’s Head of Design at the time, Julian Thomson, left the company after we had already filmed extensive interviews and b-roll featuring him. With less than a week before release, I coordinated and executed a complete re-shoot, capturing new interviews with lead designer Oliver Cattell-Ford and seamlessly integrating them into the final cut.
Despite the time pressure, the film was a resounding success, celebrated both internally and externally for its cinematic storytelling and technical polish. Its impact led directly to a second commission: a 30-minute documentary for Car Design News, offering a deeper dive into the design process with contributions from Jaguar’s creative and engineering leaders. Once again, I directed, shot, edited, and graded the film, ensuring a cohesive narrative that resonated with both design professionals and automotive enthusiasts.
Together, these films not only documented the creation of a groundbreaking concept car but also demonstrated my ability to deliver high-profile projects under pressure — balancing creative vision with technical execution and logistical problem-solving.
